About This Experience
Srisawat’s premium speed catamaran runs the Phi Phi route in reverse and stays out for the sunset. After hotel pickup in Krabi you board at a private pier in Ao Nang, stop briefly at Railay for more guests, and head first to Bamboo Island for a long snorkeling and beach stop. Lunch is a Thai buffet at Arida Restaurant on Phi Phi Don, with no pork or beef.
The afternoon covers Monkey Beach, Viking Cave, a cruise through Pileh Lagoon and about an hour at Maya Bay, reached on foot from the Loh Samah floating pier, plus a second, longer snorkel stop. Visiting Maya Bay in the afternoon may miss the late-morning peak, though reviewers still describe the islands as busy. The day ends with a sunset stop at Tup Island or Ko Poda near Krabi, depending on the sea, with BBQ snacks and fruit, so the sunset is near Krabi, not at Phi Phi.
It suits travelers who like the idea of a catamaran and a long day that ends with the sunset. It cost $74 per person on the dates we checked in early November 2026 and is rated 4.7 from 286 reviews. Reviewers single out the crew, including one crew member who swam with guests to find young blacktip sharks.
Two 1-star reviews describe the operator cancelling the night before, in one case two days running, without clear notice after payment. If your dates are tight, keep your phone on and check your messages the evening before; bookings can be cancelled free up to 24 hours ahead. Other low reviews mention a lot of boat hopping and short stops.
The national park fee is extra, at 400 THB per person according to the listing. A lost snorkel mask costs 1,500 THB, and towels are not provided.

- Railay guests wait at the end of Railay East pier (the listing calls it East Blue Pier).
- Maya Bay is open again after its yearly closure (1 August to 30 September). Boats moor on the Loh Samah side and you walk in; swimming at the front beach is not allowed and each landing is limited to about an hour.

I think was a great experience and defo worth the money. Skye was so lovely and special shoutout to another crew member (name I can’t remember) who came snorkelling with us and showed us where the baby sharks were whilst getting footage on my phone. Amazing!! Would defo book again or another one of their tours.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a Phi Phi catamaran tour from Krabi or a sunset cruise?
Both. It is a full Phi Phi day on a speed catamaran, with Bamboo Island, Phi Phi Don, Pileh Lagoon and Maya Bay, followed by a sunset stop near Krabi on the way home.
Where do you watch the sunset?
At Tup Island or Ko Poda, close to Krabi, depending on sea conditions. Maya Bay closes at about 6 pm, so no tour watches the sunset from its beach.
Does the operator cancel trips?
It can. Two 1-star reviews describe cancellations the night before. The booking can be cancelled free up to 24 hours ahead, so keep your phone on the evening before.
Is the national park fee included?
No. The listing gives 400 THB per person, paid on top of the ticket.
Can you join from Railay Beach?
Yes. The catamaran stops at Railay on the way out; wait at the end of Railay East pier.
